<![CDATA[Let the summer begin! Sinks Canyon, Mammoth Chapel, & Jenny Lake]]>Sat, 12 May 2012 01:55:50 GMThttp://aleadeonphotography.com/1/post/2012/05/let-the-summer-begin.htmlThis past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of photographing 3 different amazing couples!
Friday night started off with Matt and Rachel at Sinks Canyon near Lander, Wyoming. This fabulous couple requested some post-marriage portraits, and took advantage of one of my local specials that I offer over craigslist and other local bulletin boards when I will be in certain locations. (Check out my availability to take advantage of these specials!)
Sinks Canyon was as clear and beautiful as usual. This location is very special because a river disappears into a cave on the side of a mountain in this beautiful canyon and reappears as if by magic just down the road. I've heard that the water travels for over 8 miles underground and that no one knows exactly where the water goes and why it reappears so close if it travels so far. Anyways, the lush landscape, Popo Agie River (pronounced Poe-Poe- Jah), bridges, and red canyon walls make this a perfect place for portraits and wedding ceremonies!

This weekend I planned the elopement of Tabitha and Matt. They are an absolutely adorable couple! They stayed at the Silver Dollar Suite at the luxurious and historical Wort Hotel in Jackson, WY for three nights. I picked up Tabitha from her hotel and drove her to her hair & make-up appointment at the beautiful N8V salon, overlooking the Rocky Mountains.
Tabitha picked a orange and purple theme for her wedding flowers, and they turned out beautifully.
I picked both the future bride and groom up at their hotel and met the minister at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, WY. This location is absolutely spectacular, located on the beach of the lake with the Tetons standing majestically in the background. The ceremony made everyone cry (including me!). Following the ceremony we drove to several locations to take lots of wedding photos!

Next I set up a romantic dinner for the two newly weds at their hotel, and they enjoyed a delicious, beautiful cake with a champagne toast for two.

Last but definitely not least, the Elopement of Todd & Kellie which took place at the gorgeous Mammoth Chapel in northern Yellowstone National Park, WY. This wedding was simple, elegant, and incredibly sweet. Kellie was dressed in an absolutely fabulous pink dress and Todd looked handsome in his suit & tie!
This couple was hilarious! I laughed so hard with them I started to cry. They were full of private jokes, laughter, and love. I enjoyed watching them make each other laugh, and preserving those moments forever!
They stayed in the historic Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. This hotel is perfect for wedding nights with its simplicity and excellent location!

It was an absolute joy photographing her wedding at the Jenny Lake Overlook in Grand Teton National Park back in September!

Sally – October 11, 2011

Alea Deon Photography is nothing but top notch!! We used Alea to photograph our recent wedding at Jenny Lake in Jackson Hole WY at the base of the Teton Mountains!! We would not have wanted anyone else to do the job. She was wonderful. She kept us entertained and took tons of amazing pictures! We had a reception back in our home town a week after returning home from our honeymoon and Alea had already edited and submitted our pictures along with the amazing CD's put to music so we were able to play at our reception; so the work ethic and turn times are unbeatable. She made our day so special!! She comes highly recommended and you will be nothing but satisfied with her services!! Thank you Alea!!

Talk about bonding! We laughed, we cried, and then we laughed some more! She looked fabulous with her gorgeous wedding dress + an amazing pair of cowboy boots. The ceremony was adorable and romantic... even with the crowd of zealous strangers taking pictures of the handsome groom the breathtaking bride in front of the Tetons...

Anyways, I have posted a few pictures from the wedding on various places in my website...

Christmas card season is coming up soon... let me know if you would like to set up a session, today!
